' It Aint Over Yet ' Walking Stick Flute (with handle )

This is a sturdy bamboo walking stick flute with a standard walking cane handle .The flute part is the same as the other Native American flutes I make and just as easy and simple to play .See that page for more details of the Native American flute .
There are two playing styles ,one side blown through the hole in the upper section and the other is end blown through a hole in the handle .
These flutes can be made to any size to 1 meter (39 inches ) or less though they are usually made at about 92 cm (3 feet ) and can be cut down to the desired length.
They have a durable rubber stopper on the end that can easily be replaced by another (available from most hardware stores ) if it wears out over time.
I make these flutes in the keys of A and F# with A key being the highest pitch and the F# key being the deepest .All tuned in minor pentatonic scale as is usual for Native American flutes .

The walking stick flute arrived safely and soundly on the other side of the globe. Thank you, I love it. I just tested it on my chromatic tuner, and the low note is a perfect G. The flute is very responsive. Getting the “half-notes” (hole half-covered) is easy, which is how I distinguish a good flute from a mediocre flute. Playing in “transverse” position was new to me, but I like it. I have nerve issues in my right wrist, and I find that having my arm closer to my body is more comfortable than having it extended, especially since I can let the flute droop down to the right and relax my wrist even more.
I live near a canal, so I have been taking walks, finding a comfortable rock, and playing for the entertainment of the geese who are out showing off their new babies this time of year. As a walking stick, it feels solid, like it will last for many years.

Flute.
These are made from sturdy bamboo with an end blown flute built into the upper section or you can choose a side blown version . They can be cut to any length to suit a person's height and come with a rubber stopper on the end that can be replaced if ever it wears out after many years of use. It is made of Aurea bamboo, heat treated to give each it's unique patterns.
The flutes are made in the Native American Style or Shakuhachi style .See the Native American or Shakuhachi section for more details of the flute part of the walking stick flute.They are tuned to the minor pentatonic scale (usually in A or G or F# ) which means anyone with no previous musical experience can play and enjoy their walking stick flute....
A standard length of 130 cms (4 feet 3 inches ) will be sent unless I receive an email requesting a different length .
The Walking Stick Flute with a Shakuhachi blowing edge on the upper end is tuned to the key of D.
