The Magentarian Flute
( A Tale of Music and Madness) by Windelf
This is a story that has been simmering somewhere on the back-burner of my mind for the last few years . With the help of my teenage son Eli and his computer skills, I have finally managed to bring it to the light of day. It is a strange blend of the reality and fantasy of my life .The story is about 20000 words long , which would put it in the category of a very long short story or a novella. Feel free to read and enjoy. Any feedback you have would be appreciated. SYNOPSIS: A reclusive flutemaker is given a strange old flute by an visiting elf . To his surprise and disappointment he is unable to get a sound from it. He then very reluctantly goes on a journey to Magentaria to discover the secret of the mysterious flute that "people will be drawn to like honeybees to a lotus flower on a delightful spring morning." I would recommend in order of quality of reading experience:
- e-book reader
- Microsoft edge with epub
- Any pdf reader (most web browsers do this)
- As a last resort, doc format with a word processor
- Reading online, whilst useful as a preview does not save your progress and so is not recommended as a full reading experience.
